Tour Overview:
DAY 1 : MARRAKECH – ATLAS MOUNTAINS- KASBAH AIT BEN HADDOU- BOUMALNE DADES VALLEY
Our adventure begins with a scenic drive through the dramatic High Atlas Mountains, navigating winding roads and culminating at the breathtaking Tizi n’Tichka Pass, soaring 2260 meters above sea level. From this lofty vantage point, we’ll be treated to awe-inspiring vistas of the rugged mountain scenery.
Next, we arrive at the captivating Kasbah Ait ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site nestled along an ancient caravan route. This fortified village, with its timeless beauty, has served as a backdrop for numerous internationally acclaimed films.
Continuing our journey, we’ll traverse the mesmerizing Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs, a region renowned for its stunning collection of fortified structures. Finally, we’ll conclude the day with a relaxing stay at a comfortable hotel nestled within the picturesque Dades Valley.
DAY 2: BOUMALNE DADES VALLEY –TINGHIR- TODRA GORGE – MERZOUGA
After a satisfying breakfast, we embark on a four-hour journey to Merzouga. We’ll stop at Tinghir to explore the Todra Oasis and its impressive canyons. We’ll also visit Erfoud and Rissani before reaching Merzouga.
Once there, a camel caravan awaits us for a memorable hour-long ride through the Erg Chebbi Dunes, culminating as the sun sets over the Sahara.
DAY 3: MERZOUGA Adventure
On the third day of our exciting desert adventure, we’ll spend a relaxing day in Merzouga. After breakfast at the hotel, you can take a refreshing dip in the pool. The rest of the day is yours to explore the desert at your own pace. Enjoy the various activities available, such as quad biking, buggy rides, and cycling (at your own cost). In the evening, we’ll savor a delicious dinner at the hotel before settling in for the night.
DAY 4: MERZOUGA – MIDELT – IFRAN – FES
The camels will transport us back to Merzouga after breakfast, along the same routs we took during sunset. On this final morning, however, you will be able to experience the rising sun over the dunes – which is every bit as exciting as the sunset. The journey to Fes is our final leg of this adventure, and it will begin with a breakfast at a hotel and an amazing drive to take you all the way to this great Saharan city. We will have lunch on the way and arrive into Fes sometime between 5.00 pm and 6.00 pm.
